Marker Module

Introduction of Marker Module

Here, scPlantDB offers an informative module that provides marker gene information for each cell type across various species. Users can easily select a cell type using either the Bar chart or the Tree list.

In the specific cell type panel, scPlantDB offers informative visualizations in the form of word clouds that display the number of source datasets for each marker gene. Additionally, users can access meta information about the cell type, including the number of plant species and tissues that share this cell type.

ID of Cell types

We have developed a series of unique and uniform IDs(according to Plant Ontology) for each cell type across various plant species, including a definition of each cell type. These IDs are essential for accurate and efficient data sharing and cross-referencing among researchers.

scPlantDB offers more than just a marker table. Researchers can also perform GSEA analysis using the marker data, and the top 10 terms are displayed.

Additionally, in the Cellular Comparison panel, scPlantDB provides detailed comparison results for cell types across various plant species. This comparison includes not only the cell markers but also their orthologous genes that have been identified as cell markers for the same cell type. Such detailed comparisons can help researchers gain a deeper understanding of the cellular diversity and evolution across different plant species.
